Dawson didn’t just study agriculture. He grew up in it. Involved with his family’s registered Black Angus seedstock operation, he learned early what it takes to run a farm, manage finances, and plan for the long haul. So when he graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2025 with a double major in Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics and a minor in Animal Science, joining FMB felt like a natural next step.

For Dawson, the best part of the job is simple. He likes sitting down with producers, learning about their operations, and helping them make decisions that actually fit their lives. Whether someone is buying equipment, expanding, or just starting out, he wants to be the person they can count on. And at FMB, that’s exactly the kind of banking he gets to do. Customers aren’t account numbers here. They’re neighbors and business owners with real goals, and that means something to all of us.

When Dawson isn’t working with producers, he’s usually outside. Ranching, riding horses, hunting, and fishing are how he recharges. And somewhere in the mix, he’s behind a camera. Dawson handles all the photography and video work for his family’s operation, blending agriculture, marketing, and a genuine love of storytelling into something that’s uniquely his own. It’s not something most people would guess, but that’s part of what makes Dawson worth knowing.
